Braves' Marcell Ozuna arrested, charged with DUI

Ozuna was detained in the in the last year over domestic violence

Atlanta Braves designated batter Marcell Ozuna was detained early Friday morning

charged with drinking and driving of alcohol and the inability to keep his lane clear, Gwinnett County jail records reveal

In May of last year, Ozuna was arrested for battery and aggravated assault

when police saw him smother his wife and then throw his wife against the walls at their home.

Ozuna was enrolled in a diversion program, and the charges were later dismissed

MLB was able to place Ozuna as an administrative offender following his arrest,

he was received a 20-game suspension as per the domestic violence policy of the league.

Ozuna 31, who was signed in his second season of a 4-year, $65 million deal.
