3 Indiana students die in fiery car accident

Three Indiana State University students died in a fiery single-vehicle crash early on Sunday morning according to an announcement from the school.

Five people were in the car, thought to be ISU students, which includes "several football players" ISU said.

"This is a tragic tragedy," ISU President Deborah J. Curtis stated in her statement.

As we await more information from the authorities who are investigating the incident

our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the students who were involved."

The deputies of the Vigo County Sheriff's Office were on the site of the single vehicle accident around 1:34am on Sunday morning.

Two of the victims were removed from the car suffering serious injuries and transported to a medical facility

however the driver as well as two others were declared dead on the site, Plasse said.
